Eric Snaith, owner and executive chef of Eric’s Fish And Chips, is set to open his second site in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, on 1 June.
The 66-cover restaurant and takeaway will be located in Abbey Retail Park on Harrison Way, with a 24-cover outdoor terrace.
Like the original Thornham site, the menu will offer traditional British fish and chips with modern European influences, inspired by Snaith’s three-AA Rosette restaurant Titchwell Manor. For example, dishes include cod and chips fried in Greene King IPA batter and beef dripping; a Japanese-style fish burger; and gruyere and spinach arancini.
It will also feature the same tiled walls and maritime theme as the first site, complete with exposed brickwork and blue leather banquette seating.
On the drinks menu, customers will be able to choose from Eric’s Fish And Chips session pale ale, wine, soft drinks and batch cocktails.
For the kids, there will be table games and a custom-designed bleacher childrens’ seating area.
A third site will follow in Holt, Norfolk, on 20 June.
