Byron has added two new vegan burgers to its offering with the launch of its new summer menu.
The summer menu, available from 18 June, includes The Truffler – a Beyond Meat patty topped with truffle vegan cheese sauce, Portobello mushroom, vegan truffle mayonnaise, crispy onions and lettuce – and Cali Cheese – Beyond Meat patty with vegan cheddar, vegan roasted garlic aioli, smoked tomato ketchup, red onion, pickle and lettuce.
There’s also a new Chopped Salad, with beetroot, cherry tomatoes, avocado, cucumber, bacon, radish, peas, parmesan and gem lettuce, served with house dressing.
For something sweet, the team has introduced a new collection of Ice Kitchen lollies, available in milk chocolate, strawberries and cream, orange and lemon and vegan pineapple and coconut. There’s also a Rainbow Fruity Ice Lolly, with hidden vegetables, for children.
Guests can also cool down with new cocktails, including a Peach and Basil Cooler, Bright and Stormy and Salted Lime Margarita.
The new menu has been overseen by Sophie Michell, the burger restaurant’s new food and drink director.
“We know that our diners are often keen for lighter alternatives when the warmer months kick in and our new summer menu ticks all the boxes,” says Michell. “The new vegan burgers are the most exciting part – you have classic summer flavours in the Cali Cheese, inspired by California, and all out decadence in the Truffler. We designed them to be enjoyed by committed vegans and people who just want to cut down on their meat consumption, without compromising on flavour. The lollipops are simply good fun – they are made by a small artisan producer, they are 100% natural and are a light, cooling finish to the meal. Byron has always been a supporter of small UK brands and I would like to continue that tradition.”
