LIV, an all-day dining restaurant, will be opening its doors in Belgravia in September.
The spot will open with a soft launch from 2-9 September, with 50% off food, in the formed premises of Como Lario restaurant close to Sloane Square.
At opening, LIV will be open for breakfast and lunch, with a dinner service being added later in 2019.
LIV is the work of executive chef Damien Monley, who has opened several restaurants in Australia. This is his first British venue.
The breakfast menu will feature items such as chai-spiced oats with amaranth, bananas, pecans, seeds, yoghurt and palm sugar, and a king prawn omelette with basil, Asian slaw, sweet soy, ginger, shallot and siracha.
Lunch will feature the likes of a rainbow bowl with avocado, edamame, beetroot, feta and sprouts, a crispy pork sandwich, Thai coconut-poached chicken salad, or 17-hour Wagyu beef brisket.
There will also be a separate children’s menu including a mini grass-fed cheeseburger and pasta pomodoro.
When dinner is introduced, the menu is likely to include crumbed lamb cutlets with crushed peas and mint salsa, and strozzapreti pasta with king prawns, minced calamari, olives, chilli, tomato and parsley.
The drinks menu will include a global wine list, speciality coffee, and Italian cocktails.
The interiors are fitted out in white and neutral tones, with fresh flowers, linen, wicker, and contemporary art from the likes of Henry Moore and Alexander Calder.
“The whole team at LIV are super excited about the upcoming opening,” says Damien Monley, executive chef at LIV. “Our aim is to create a really special neighbourhood restaurant that showcases amazing produce, delivered with warm, friendly service in a beautiful and comforting setting. Having the opportunity to showcase my version of casual dining to the London market is truly inspiring and I’m absolutely pumped.”
