Only A Pavement Away, the hospitality industry charity that supports the homeless, ex-offenders and vulnerable veterans with jobs in hospitality, is calling on the industry for food and catering support.
The charity is looking for large scale food donations to support the homelessness initiatives that it’s currently running, which have consistently increased throughout the continued spread of coronavirus.
“If anyone has any food that isn’t going to get used, then please contact me,” urges founder of Only A Pavement Away, Greg Mangham.
“We’re looking for immediate support in the form of sandwiches and street food, as well as large scale catering of individual meals, to be distributed to sites across London.”
This public call to action comes following the charity’s announcement of its pay gap fund; which will see Only A Pavement Away bridging the income gap for its members that have had to stop working due to Covid-19.
On top of the members support, the charity has now also confirmed that any remaining funds that aren’t pledged to its members, will be distributed to individuals who find themselves struggling and on the edge of destitution, as a result of the virus.
